Q & A

Subject: Weather in France in September and getting to Gap.

Question: My husband and I are planning a trip in September. The main purpose is the World Skydiving Meet in Gap, France but since this is a once in a lifetime for us trip we also plan a few days in Paris for sightseeing. I have two questions. 1) What is the weather like in France in September? 2) What is the best way to get from Paris to Gap and back? Your sight is great and has helped me a lot with the planning. I will appreciate any information you have. Thank you, Cindi

Answer: The weather in September should be as good as it gets in France, that is not to hot (70's) with minimal rain. At least that is how it was last year. Gap might be hotter than that as it is in the south of France.
The best way to get to Gap from Paris and back is by train; it is a 5-½ hour ride. Have a look at the French train company web site at, http://www.sncf.fr, for more info. You could rent a car, that would give you the most freedom, but the cost would be about $80 - $100 a day.
