Joie de Vivre Unlimited: Two beautiful 18th Century houses to rent in the South of France, in the beautiful chic hillside stone village of St Maximin. Each sleeps 8/9 people and can be rented together or separately; This is a first-rate French holiday rental with a walled garden covered with vines, outdoor terraces, swimming pool and private BBQ facilities.
Located in the middle of rows of grape vines, sunflower fields, cherry and apricot trees this is a picturesque setting but only 5 minutes from the Pont du Gard and 4 kilometers from the medieval town of Uzes, that boasts designer shops, restaurants and bars and a famous Saturday market that people come from miles around to shop at.
There are many places to visit within an hours drive of St Maximin: Les Baux de Provence, St Remy de Provence, Arles, Nimes, Avignon, Rousillon and Gordes, Isle sur la Sourg, Fountain de Valcluse, the Camargue with the famous wild horses, St Marie de Mer…

Les Rossignols: Is a beautiful old Quercy farmhouse built around 1840, near Assier, in the Lot, Midi-Pyrenees. Close to Figeac, the famous medieval riverside market town, there is much to do and see. Three bed and breakfast rooms are available, from a romantic double room with private roof terrace, to a family room for four/five, all overlooking the large, salt water swimming pool.
The top floor can be rented as a suite of two bedrooms to sleep six/seven, with spa bathroom and sitting room. Close to the wonderful tourist sites of Rocamadour, St. Cirq-Lapopie, the prehistoric caves of Peche Merle, the Dordorgne, Lot and Célé river valleys there is plenty to do. Walk, explore or watch the wonderful birds and wild life, which ever way you can be sure of a fabulous holiday and warm welcome.

Artémis en Provence: In the heart of Provence and the ochre that gives its name to the village of Roussillon, Artemis en Provence is an environmentally-friendly solar house with two self-catering rental units designed to also welcome visitors with physical and visual handicaps. The two apartments of 40m2 are entirely equipped.
Dine or have drinks on your shaded terrace. Contemplate the stars. tinkle the ivories, jump on the trampoline. Guidebooks and maps suggest sites and trails. Four bikes are available for guests’ use. The enclosed swimming poll measures 12 by 5 meters. There is a floatation device for physically challenged guests. You may arrange for guide service as well as for meals to be delivered.
Apt with its Saturday market and Lacoste, where Pierre Cardin has succeeded to the Marquis de Sade, are fifteen minutes away, Avignon and La Roque d’Anthéron within an hour, Aix-en-Provence, Arles, and Marseille an hour and a half, making Artemis en Provence convenient for the summer festivals and for seasoned cyclists to ascend the Mt. Ventoux (1909 m.) Golf, horseback riding, acro-branch, observatory, and hot-air balloon ascension, pottery, and painting nearby. Gay friendly. Open year ‘round.
Pick fresh mint, basil, rosemary and chives from the fledgling vegetable patch, watered from the rain cistern and fed by the compost bin to which all visitors contribute. Artemis en Provence is a bird refuge (LPO - Birdlife International). Your pet is welcome, although the property is not fenced.

Domaine la Fontaine: B&B and cottages in the beautiful Charente-Maritime. Domaine la Fontaine is situated at the edge of the small village of Soubran in Southwest France. Domaine la Fontaineis in a peaceful area, with an impressive view over a large valley, where one can enjoy the things that make life worthwhile.
Five fully renovated rooms, each with individual bathroom (1 with bath), tasteful furnishings, in a charming 19th century Charentaise House. Cosy salon (TV, fireplace, piano etc.) for common use. Four comfortable and cosy gîtes (cottages).
For all guests there is a large garden, a heated swimming pool, parking and free WiFi.
A few times a week we offer dinner and you are more than welcome to join us. Dinner is of course accompanied by a good glass of wine. Domaine la Fontaine is in the Charente-Maritime department, a beautiful region with a wide range of activities (Atlantic coast, Bordeaux, famous wineries, nature, village markets, golf courses, etc).

My husband and I travel often to all regions of France, but our home base is in the city of Philadelphia.
Northern Liberties is the neighborhood, full of cafes and art galleries. Similar to the Canal St. Martin area of Paris.
Located one and a half hours by bus/train from NYC and Baltimore. Two hours to DC.
We have a private guest room with a queen sized bed and a private bath.
Free Wi-Fi, must like cats.
Hubby speaks Intermediate French, I understand a lot but speak badly!
