Q & A

Subject: Normandy Beaches.

Question: My wife and I plan to visit Paris next spring. We would like to take a train to the Normandy Beaches for a day trip or maybe stay there overnight. We won't have a car. I've heard that Bayeux offers lodging and escorted tours. Do you have any suggestions or recommendations?

Answer:

One of my sponsors, Viator has tours of the D-day beaches try this link.

I have yet to get to the D-day beaches as I now live in Strasbourg, but I did make it to Verdun and it was very moving. I had a look at the Bayeux tourist office on-line at http://www.bayeux-tourism.com/eng/ and there is a lot of information there about tours. Have a wonderful time in France. Jeff
