Subject: Can we get married in France?
Question: Hi - My fiance and I are traveling to Paris (and Spain) this Spring. Could we get married in Paris? We both speak French and are comfortable in the environment. We are staying in the 7th arrondissement.

Veta,
To get married in France you need to satisfy a residency requirement of I think 40 days. Then you would need the proper paperwork, in French of course, birth certificates, proof of residency etc…
In short it is possible, I did it, but getting married in France is not easy. Jeff
