Q & A

Subject: 2nd time visit to France with kids.

Question: This is our 2nd time to visit, but this time bringing the kids and extended families. We will have total of 11, 6 adults, then ages 6,9,13,14,15. We are staying at the Best Western, or Saint-Germain-Des-Pres. left bank...on Rue de L'Ancienne Comedie....
1st, Internet access and/ or receiving e-mails while in Paris? I've been downloading web-pages left and right so I will have access to internet information off-line, assuming I will not be able to have access to the internet while there, is there a better way?
2nd, My son (15) is an avid weight lifter and would like to workout while in Paris. Any suggestions?
3rd, Last time we visited Dachau and the kids would now like to visit a Concentration camp, any suggestions?
4th, Washing clothes other than the laundry service at the hotel?
5th, thanks

Answer: 1st, Internet access and/ or receiving e-mails while in Paris?- There are cyber cafés in Paris or even your hotel might have Internet access. From what I have seen France is just as wired as the states. Ask at your hotel or the nearest Office de Tourisme(Tourist Office), and they should point you in the right direction.
2nd, My son (15) is an avid weight lifter and would like to workout while in Paris. Any suggestions? – I have no idea, I know the there are gyms in France but I have no addresses. Once again try your hotel or the nearest Office de Tourisme, or maybe the French Yellow Pages at http://www.pagesjaunes.fr, it has a part in English.
3rd, Last time we visited Dachau and the kids would now like to visit a Concentration camp, any suggestions?- There was a transit Camp outside Paris in Drancy(www.jewishgen.org/ForgottenCamps/Camps/DranEngl.html) and I know that there where other smaller camps in France.
4th, Washing clothes other than the laundry service at the hotel?- Laundry mats are all over Paris you will have know problem finding one near your hotel.
