Here is the March 2008 traffic estimation for France. There is one weekend to look out for –the 21st to the 23rd. This is Easter weekend and there should be a lot of traffic on French roads.
Also remember that school winter vacation (see French School Holidays 2007-2008 for more information) is finishing and so there could be heavy traffic near ski resort areas. The Saturdays 1st, 8th and 15th will have the most traffic.
