Traffic in France 2007August
With summer in full swing so is traffic congestion on French roads. August has one of the two national Black (very heavy) traffic days of the year – Saturday August 4th. There are also 4 Red (heavy) traffic and 6 Orange (moderate) traffic days. The Red days are all weekends and the Orange either weekends or Fridays. As is often the case the best days to travel by car are during the week Monday to Thursday. The lighter traffic days are near the end of the month.
