American expat Jeff Steiner and Sutro Media have partnered to create the Southern Burgundy Explorer* travel app for iPhone/iPad/iPod touch.

With 120 entries and over 1,800 photos the Southern Burgundy Explorer covers subjects both on and off the beaten path, including Romanesque Churches, WWII historic sites, the once largest church in the world, prehistoric caves, forest adventures and leisurely cycle rides. There are on average 15 photos per entry. Far more than is possible with a traditional guide book.

Southern Burgundy Explorer highlights what attractions to see, and contains a wealth of practical travel tips to ensure that you get the most out of your visit. Best of all, it fits in the palm of your hand, is updated regularly for free and is easy to use.

Southern Burgundy Explorer is the first app in English about Southern Burgundy, an area of France often missed by many. That’s a shame, as Southern Burgundy is just an hour and a half from Paris on the TGV (high speed train) and is accessible from the A6 Autoroute that runs between Paris and the South of France.
