Photo TidbitsTourrette sur Loup with Emmy

By Jim and Emmy Humberd

Tourrette sur Loup

Cobbled streets, narrow paths, stone houses, torturous stairways, Tourrette sur Loup has them all, plus a familiar lady walking in the distance. Built with native stones, these villages seem to blend into the mountainside. Flagstone and cobbles pave the winding pathways, and torturous stairways wend their way from one level to the next, with narrow little paths between stone buildings, stairs going here and there.

Often a small arch extended across the walkway, from building to building. It was difficult to tell if they were holding the buildings together, or keeping them apart.
