Photo TidbitsRestaurant in Alsace

By Jim and Emmy Humberd

Restaurant in Alsace

When walking down streets in both large and small towns and cities in France, we often find a continuous high wall built right to the edge of the sidewalk. Usually the wall is part of a building, and sometimes it's simply a garden wall. We are always alert for an open gate. We may see just a parking area, but perhaps a lovely garden courtyard, sometimes with an outdoor cafe, will provide that perfect 'photo opportunity.'

Being a tourist just snapping 'memories' as we walked, the name of this town is unknown, but we do remember it's in the mid-Alsace area, our favorite part of France. Where are the words? What can we say? Pictures can¹t completely describe the Alsace, it has a warmth, a charm of its own that must be experienced.
