Alsace Grapes

There are a hundred little villages in the Alsace of France, most every one with at least one winery, and the rolling hills between are covered with vineyards, loaded with grapes at harvest time.

Half-timbered and stone buildings; magnificent churches; vineyards by the mile; wineries by the dozens; castle ruins; courtyards covered with flowers; clean, clean stone streets; and storks making love in especially constructed nests high above the town.

The Route des Vins d'Alsace miles and miles of dozens of the most beautiful, picturesque little villages one can imagine.
