This has given her a unique opportunity to compare the two systems. If you have children and want to move to France then this book will be a vital resource. It will give you some idea as to what awaits your child.

Is this book for an American? Yes, you don't have to be English to get something out of this book. As an American with a son in the French school system I found this book to be insightful and eye opening. I heard a lot about French schools, teachers use negative reinforcement, it's all about passing standardized test… This book confirmed a lot of what I heard but it was also able to put it into context and help me understand the whys of French schools.
