Tour Itinerary

Day 1—Saturday 16th June (D)
Bonjour! Pick up at Avignon TGV station 11.00am. Visit charming Villeneuve-les-Avignon in time for the antique market and lunch. Later arrive in St. Maximin and your new home - Maison de Maitresse. Get acquainted with your fellow guests and hostess over a welcome cocktail, or two. Enjoy the afternoon relaxing poolside before celebrating the beginning of your experience with Amanda’s world famous Beaujolais Soup, welcome feast and music.

Day 2—Sunday 17th June (B,L,D)
Tour briefing and breakfast pool side, before heading off to experience a local flea market. Experience Fete de St Maximin, the annual running of the bulls. Soak up the atmosphere as you rub shoulders with the locals. More relaxing in the courtyard poolside, before enjoying a meal prepared by one of Amanda’s infamous chefs.

Day3—Monday 18th June (B,D)
Visit Les Baux Des Provence and the Cathedrale d’Images. Time for shopping and lunch in the village, before visiting St Remy. Another eventful evening with great food and live music.

Day 4—Tuesday 19th June (B,L,D)
A relaxing day planned, with the option of a locally guided walking tour. Amanda will offer a cooking demonstration of her famous Lovosh, Tapenades, Goats Cheese Salad – enjoy over a long lunch and many glasses of rose! Guest chef to prepare more scrumptious food for this evening.

Day 5—Wednesday 20th June (B,L,D)
Stroll the Wednesday’s markets in Uzes, get accustomed with the local drop during a wine tasting, then lunch together at one of Uzes top restaurants – Terrior. Rest of the afternoon at leisure. Guest chef to prepare yet another fabulous meal for this evening.

Day 6—Thursday 21st June (B,L,D)
Experience a wonderful day kayaking down the river to Pont du Gard, share a gourmet picnic lunch under the sun. Call in for some wine tasting at the local co-op before heading home to relax. Enjoy an early meal tonight before heading to Uze for live music.

Day 7—Friday 22nd June (B,D)
Visit Arles, orientation by tourist train then explore at your leisure. You’ll be able to wander, shop and dine at your leisure. Party Night! Fine wine, sensational food, great music and excellent company - and a hostess that likes to dance the night away!

Day 8—Saturday 23rd June (B,L,D)
Discover the lively buzz of Uze markets; later soak up the atmosphere whist enjoying shucked oysters and wine at a local cafe overlooking the markets. Back home enjoy a cooking demonstration with produce from the market, in true Provencal splendour. A relaxed dinner this evening enjoyed outdoors.  

Day 9—Sunday 24th June (B,L,D)
Walking tour with knowledgeable local, Gabby, though the fields and forest into Uzes. Perhaps a side trip to the Valley D’Eure, the spring source where water was taken to Nimes over the aqueduct and Pont du Gard 2000 years ago. Return to the maison via a flea market for those that want to. Relaxed lunch on the terrace. In the afternoon we will visit a local winery Chateau de Panery Rutger, producing sublime wines. Dinner at local restaurant.

Day 10—Monday 25th June (B,D)
Visit nearby Roussillon and Gordes, two highlights of the area. Free time to wonder the towns and dine at your leisure. This evening we will have a guest chef and enjoy some live music.

Day 11—Tuesday 26th June (B,L,D)
Enjoy a relaxing morning, option of heading to St. Quentin la Poterie, a nearby village. Amanda to prepare a casual lunch at the maison. Get ready for an entertaining evening as Michel prepares your evening meal – his signature Paella.

Day 12—Wednesday 27th June (B,D)
Today visit Avignon, orientation by tourist train then explore at your leisure. You’ll be able to wander, shop and dine at your leisure. Avignon offers some great shops! Another wonderful guest chef and live music.

Day 13—Thursday 28th June (B,L,D)
Free day at leisure before our Grand Finale. More food, more wine, more fun!

 

Day 14—Friday 29th June (B)
Final breakfast together on the terrace, before heading to Avignon to connect with your onward travel arrangements. Bon voyage!
