Hangouts starts with events coming up in France. First is the start of daylight saving time. In Europe it starts in late March. Second, French baseball season - there are eight teams in France that play from March to October. Article about French baseball in the New York Times. Before the third event, Jan talks about other Americans living in her town and that she sees from time to time a truck with 'American Football' written on it. Jeff remarks that there is an American Football pro league in France with a team near him. There is also an amateur American Football club not far away. The next event is the Departmental Elections. For the first time, each district will elect two representatives man/woman pair who run as a team for their district. Jan adds that she still doesn't understand the mentality behind French politics and voting system. The last event is the live broadcast of the TV show J'irai dormir chez vous (It takes place April 4th). In the show, Antoine de Maximy travels allover the world trying to sleep over and peoples homes. This live show takes place in France at a not yet known location. Then Jan talks about the Pierre Bonnard show at the Musée d'Orsay and that she has met one of this relatives. Jan mentions that there is an auction of his art taking place over the weekend and that there were problems with is his estate after he died. Hangout ends with different problems in regards to French inheritance laws and that it's important to know what the law is and visit a notaire for estate planning. American Football in France.
