Daily LifeEnglish Speaking Notaires/Lawyers

Here are some tips on finding an English speaking Notaire or lawyer in France. If you have any other tips or resources please let me know.

To find an English speaking Notaire, the best thing to do is go to Notaires.fr. At the bottom click on ‘Find a Notaire’. Then on the next page type in where you would like to look and in 'Language' select 'English'. If there are any Notaires that speak English in the location requested they will be in the results.
It was suggested by a reader that it's better to use Anglo Info France and then a regional web site to find an English speaking Notaire than Notaires.fr.

As for English speaking Lawyers, it looks like the British Embassy in Paris has an online list. Click on the city links on the right. Each city page has a link to a word document with a list English speaking lawyers in that city.

I thought the US Embassy in Paris did supplied lists but couldn’t find anything. The only French lawyers I know of that speak English are Fabien Cordiez and Avi Bitton.
