Var Property For SaleSte-Maxime

Ste-Maxime, 2 bed apt in perfect condition in the heart of the pedestrianised "old town" - rare!

Accomodation: A charming entrance hall leads to the living room and dining room combined, there are 2 double bedrooms, a separate and well fitted kitchen, an excellent modern bathroom with corner bath and plumbing for washing machine. Living room, dining room and master bedroom face south, while the kitchen, second bedroom and the bathroom face to the north. The apartment is entirely double glazed, heating is electric with, additionally, air conditioning to the lounge/dining room. The apartment is situated on the first floor of a building in the heart of the pedestrianised old town (the vieux ville pietonne) and is en passant, having windows in both the north and south sides of the apartment very beneficial during the summer months as it allows a through flow of air. Not only is the apartment in an excellent state of repair, so is the building. Facades are in good condition and recently painted, too. Although there is no allocated parking in the old town, free parking is available within 100m of the apartment. Apartments for sale in this location and in this condition are rare, as you are within a few steps of everything, including the covered market which is open every day of the year, selling more than one could ever need -two greengrocers, 3 charcuteries, a bakery, an olive specialist, a cheese specialist, florists, two fishmongers and a shellfish specialist. Not to mention wine merchants, spit roast chicken and herbalists. Every Thursday, again within 20 metres of your front door, the farmers market takes place around the ancient fountain, once a horse-trough, in the Place du Marche. Throughout the summer season a fascinating craft market occupies the Place du Marche, Rue Hoche and the various streets around the Place du Marche and stretching to the cafes on the sea front road, all of which are within a few minutes of your front door. (Your front door opens into the craft market, though strangely, this is not an intrusion in any way!) Absolutely everything is available on foot; shops, cafes, the post office, more restaurants than you could poke a stick at, the beach, the port (ferries to St Tropez, 15minutes across the bay, ferries to other locations along the Cote dAzur), the open air theatre on the promenade, the boules parks, doctors, dentists, stop me when you get bored! In fact, the only bad thing here is the road that takes you away from Ste-Maxime. Seriously, this apartment would be ideal for any purpose, be it for your own holidays, to rent out seasonally or year round, or for permanent residence or retirement.
