My fiancee has a permanent home in Avignon and we plan to relocate there, from Los Angeles, within the next year or so. As excited as I am to live in Provence, to abandon the hustle and pressure of LA, the fact is, I am pretty conditioned to 'perform' at this point...I have a number of concerns about finding a job, or starting a business there. In the technology and business development field, have enjoyed the luxury (drawbacks considered) of the entreprenurial climate of SoCal, and the ease in which we exchange and execute new business ventures here...it's gonna be an interesting cultural and economic transition, no doubt! So, I am very interested in learning more about the possibilities or a new venture there, consumer trends, govt. regulations, business climate, etc. Also, I would love to connect with some seasoned expats. Any advice would be extremely appreciated!
