Subject: Strike in Paris ?
Date: Monday, May 26, 2003
Name: L Joseph
Message: Hi, We are planning to be in Paris from May 30 to June 8. I read that a strike is planned at that time. What all are affected? Will all the museums shut down ? How about the Metro and the RER?

Would appreciate any information.

Thanks L Joseph

Message At the moment it is impossible to tell what will be affected but museums are not likely to be affected but transportation, metro, RER, TVG are. The government and the unions are deadlock over retirement and school organization with the government at the moment refusing to negotiate. Jeff PS If I can I will update my article on strakes in France at http://www.americansinfrance.net/DailyLife/Strike.cfm. Jeff
