Message Hello Debra,

Just read your mail and would like to react quickly.

I completely agree with the webmaster’s opinion on this site : http://www.americansinfrance.net/Culture/Anti-Americanism.cfm

The French opinion was indeed against this war. Now this is a matter of politics and governments, not of relationship between human beings. Besides, this disagreement is seen here as short-termed and rather limited in comparison of the depth of common values and of historical ties.

In my humble opinion, your greatest risk is to be asked to debate the matter at diner times (French loooooove debating !). An easy way to escape it, if you do not feel like it, is to say that you were not the decision maker in this matter.

Moreover, in July, this war is likely to be largely forgotten.

Regards from Paris

Harvey

PS : mind the Alps, lot of climbing there !
