| Message: | I am a U.S. citizen & want to go to an overseas territory of France to get married to my girlfriend who lives in French Polynesia. I want to know after I get Married will I be able to stay with her & have a Carte De Sojour? I am only allowed to stay up to 1 month only without a visa. Getting a 90 day tourist visa is very dificult for me to have only reason the consolate says is that I dont have the finacial independance for myself to stay there. When after you get married to a french citizen is a residency something that is automatic? I dont know if I will be allowed to stay with her & intill the paperwork get done. |
