Subject: looking at Lille for possible move to France
Date: Sunday, March 14, 2004
Name: Dana
Message: My husband is hoping to accept a position with a copmany that will lead to work in Europe in 3-6 months. We want to base in France for the job that will involve travel to Germany, Spain, Switzerland and several other countries. Paris looks far too expensive, and I think Lyon would be too hot for me (I don't like hot weather). So we are looking at Lille. Prices look reasonable, and it is within an hour of both Brussels and Paris for transportation connections. The problem is, I cannot find out any information about the various neighborhoods. I don't know if we will have the opportunity to visit Lille before selecting an apartment or house, and I don't want to end up in a shabby neighborhood. Does anyone know anything about the arrondisements? Thanks!
