Subject: Dial-up Internet access in France
Date: Tuesday, March 02, 2004
Name: Genevieve
Message: My partner and I will be in France for three months, mostly in Paris, and we need to find an Internet service provider with good dial-up access numbers in France. I have heard that America Online's Paris access numbers are almost always busy.

I want to be able to download files to my laptop (with 56k modem) and exchange e-mailed Word documents with people.

Can anyone recommend a good ISP?

The Wanadoo.fr signup page is a little beyond me, too much techno-French that hasn't made it into dictionaries.

Merci!

Message With out a doubt Wanadoo owns the market here and I've been pretty happy with their service so far.

Regarding dial ups, I hear Noos is a good alternative.

There's an abundant of cyber cafes in Paris if you're interested as well.

Message One thing I found is that alot of providers require a years contract. I have AOL and don't have any problems with them.
