Subject: Children's French Passports
Date: Wednesday, February 18, 2004
Name: Jennifer
Message: I am American and my husband is a French citizen. We have ben living in the US for the past three years and our twins were born two years ago here in the States. My husband registered them with the French government and we have the Livret de Familie (sp?). We have already gotten them their American passports - but I would also like to get them their French passports as I am under the impression that they are also French citizens. We will be going to France in March . . . can anyone advise if #1, I am correct in assuming they can get a French passport and #2, how to do this . . . Thanks!

Message Well ! First : good news for you : It's not a french passeport but an european one ! As they will be able to Travel everywhere into the European community ! 2nd : that's it ! The easiest should be to go to your local ambassy or consulate... where if you're livin' in a losten state where there's nothin' closer than 2 hours by flight, and that your husband have family in France, he can try to make the passeport here in the way he got an adress here to put on the papers ! It takes around one week, I just recently made it ! The papers are in french ! If you need more help, I can send theses papers to you, and help you ! But I think there is really no need for that as your husband is french !!! Feel free to ask me anymore questions : [email protected] Hello to your kids and husband ! Have nice time in France !

Aurelien.
