Subject: Cost of living (retired, inexpensively) in Nice
Date: Tuesday, January 14, 2003
Name: Patricia
Message: I speak French reasonably well and have always had a desire to live there. I am thinking of Nice because I read "nice" (sorry) things about it in a book as having lots of furnished apts. to sublet and having a fairly sizable English (not American) population. Also, the weather is reasonably pleasant from what I gather. Anyway, I see no questions on the site about cost of living (which I find a bit strange; it's hard to find that kind of information). I would plan to rent and live quite inexpensively. Thanks for any help.

Message Yes, people other than myself respond to posts. I don't know how much a studio or one-bedroom apartment in Nice would cost. Try these links http://www.entre-particuliers.com/ and http://www.bonjour.fr. Jeff
