Subject: Children with Peanut/Nut Allergies in France
Date: Friday, June 02, 2006
Name: cyndy-ann
Message: Hello. I'm an American, married to a Frenchman for the last 6 years. We are in the US now (husband works for a French company here) but will be returning to France (possibly La Rochelle area) this summer. We have two children together ages 3 and 5. Our 5 year old daughter has a peanut and all nut allergy. This is pretty scary. Does anyone have any experience with moving to France and keeping your nut-allergic child safe? Schools? How do they assure the child's safety?

My in-laws live in Nice and have forwarded us package labels to show that all ingredients in a product must be listed, so I am feeling pretty confident about that.

Thank you so much for any experience/advice you can offer.
