After the reelection of George W Bush, my wife and I chose to leave our life (of 25 years) in Los Angeles and relocated to the South of France. The story of our one-year journey has just been published as Over Here: An American Expat in the South of France by Randy Lofficier, and is now available on amazon.com, amazon.co.uk and amazon.fr
Apologies for the plug, but I thought such a book might be of interest to those who visit this site.

@ Randy Zella
Thanks for the kind words. My wife and I have some experience in screenwriting ourselves. I also know Fayence; lovely village. You can contact us, if you wish, through our site at www.lofficier.com

Hi! Smart move, but why just a year? We did the same thing and for the same reason! We're still here, very happy, living in Provence in a tiny old village named Fayence. I'm a screenwriter and would love to write about living over here from the eyes of an American. I've written some shorts, but need to do more. Perhaps your book will motivate me. Thanks for the plug. Randy

Hey, a little self-promotion is good for the soul and pocket-book. I may check it out.
Thanks.
