Daily Life Streaming Netflix Hulu Amazon Prime in France

As of late February 2016 Netflix has cracked down on the use of VPNs. Meaning if you are in France, chances are you will no longer be able to access Netflix's US catalog. If you are able to access Netflix US from within France please let me know how you do it.
If you've ever wondered how to watch Netflix (Netflix is in France but not with the same catalog as in the US), Hulu, Amazon Prime - Amazon Instant Video, HBO Go or another video streaming service when outside the US, then this article is for you.
Most movies or TV shows are licensed by country. Meaning that streaming services like Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime are not available in France. One way around this is the use a virtual private network (VPN).
A VPN will fool the servers of Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime into thinking a computer or tablet in France (or another country) in the US. Letting that computer or tablet watch Netflix, Hulu or Amazon Prime. A VPN in short will make a server think a computer in one country is in fact in another.
There are lots of VPNs out there, some free most not. One good reliable VPN is Hide My Ass - Pro VPN. It isn't free but it has servers that will let you use Netflix, Hulu or Amazon Prime outside the US. Hide My Ass also offers other services like being able to surf the Internet anonymously. You can also try TunnelBear who offer free and paid plans along with Hide My IP.
For a free VPN try Spotflux.com and another you pay for Unblock Us. Also a reader reports that StrongVPN works with Apple TV.
With Google Chrome there is a free browser plug-in ZenMate.
