Daily LifeEuro

As of January 1st, 2002 the euro can be used for all monetary transactions in the fallowing countries, Belgium, Germany, Greece, Spain, France, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Holland, Austria, Portugal and Finland.

The euro comes in the following dominations, for bills, 500 €, 200 €, 100 €, 50 €, 20 €, 10 € and 5 €. For coins the dominations are, 2 €, 1 €, .50 €, .20 €,10 €, .05 €, .02 € and .01 €. Euro bills are standardized. Coins, on the other hand, are standardized only on the side that tells you its value, but on the face side, are different for each country.
