If you're speaking to somebody your own age or one of your peers say s'il te plaît. If you'd like to thank somebody say: merci. To say "thank you very much" say "merci beaucoup". Beaucoup means a lot. To answer you're welcome say: De rien. If you are having a casual conversation with somebody you can say "pas de problème" or no problem.
