French Travel PlannerTravel QuestionsParis to the French Riviera by car

Question: Hi, I hope you can help me on this; my husband and I would like to travel from Paris to the French Riviera by car. I couldn't find anywhere the time that it would take us and whether it is convenient or not, could you help me on this please. I would like to know: how long it will take us driving is there a high way to reach there. and what cities we will pass through on our way. Thank you very much, I will really appreciate your quick response.

Answer: The total driving time from Paris to Marseille is ten hours. You would pass through Auxerre, Beaune, Lyon and Valence. You would use the A6 and A7 Autoroute.
As for convenient or not, it's a long drive but you do have the freedom of seeing cities and villages you might otherwise not see. You can get to Marseille from Paris by train in four hours and it will cost half as much as a car.
