The Luxembourg Gardens - Jardin du Luxembourg is in the 6th district and borders the 5th in Paris. The Luxembourg Gardens are home to the French Senate and offer a relaxed atmosphere in fast paced Paris. The wading pool near the French Senate building - Palais du Luxembourg has an abundance of chairs just asking to be sat in. There is also a children’s park, admission charged.

The Luxembourg Gardens are within a short walk of the Latin Quarter/Sorbonne, Montparnasse Train Station and the islands of Ile Saint-Louis and Ile de la Cité (home to Notre Dame Cathedral) in the center of Paris.

The Luxembourg Gardens is served by a number of metro stops including Notre Dame des Champs line 12, Odéon line 10… Also the RER (Réseau Express Régional) has a nearby stop - Luxembourg line B
