Question: San Francisco... leaving around 21, 22 of December. Go to Strasbourg to see the Christmas market? My French friend thought it was the best place in France to see Christmas.

Answer: The Strasbourg Christmas Market would be very good choice. I lived in Strasbourg for two years, and the market held during December is like nothing you have ever seen! Just about Strasbourg’s entire city center is lined with stands selling anything from great food to art. The one drawback is that some of the stands, locals say more and more, are selling things that you could find anywhere and have nothing to do with Alsace. Even that one drawback does not take away from the atmosphere and sights that you will not find anywhere else in France.
