Q & A

Subject: I'm getting married in September 2002

Question: I'm getting married in September 2002 and want to have a French theme for my wedding reception. I'm interested in getting ideas for a sit-down dinner including passed hors d'oeuvres. All suggestions greatly appreciated.

Answer: I was married in France here is our menu in French and English, Délice du Périgord – Périgord duck liver Assiette du Pêcheur- Fisherman’s plate Halte du Vigneron – Sorbet with Brandy topping Traditiion de Thanksgiving – Thanksgiving plate Croquante du jardin – Garden salad Délice du Berger – Shepherds cheese Gâteau des Mariés – Wedding cake Café- Coffee

You could also think about having quench, a soufflé, crêpes or pâté. The wedding cake we had was made out of little round pastry balls kind of like donut holes, that made a pyramid. Remember to serve the cheese after the last course but before the desert, because that’s how it is done in France.
