Q & A

Subject: Easter in Brittany.

Question: I am traveling to Brittany for a holiday next Easter, arriving on Saturday with the following two days being Easter Sunday and Easter Monday. In the UK nearly everything is still open on these days, will this be the same around St Malo in Brittany or will things be shut down around Easter. I am particularly interested in supermarkets and restaurants, so I can make alternative arrangements.

Answer: I have never been in Brittany during Easter, but in general in France most supermarkets are closed on Easter Sunday. I am not sure about Easter Monday; I can’t remember what was open last year, chances are most are closed. With regards to restaurants you should not have a problem finding one open on either Easter Sunday or Easter Monday.
