Q & A

Subject: American club in Marseille

Question: Hi, I am another American who has happily (okay....ecstatically;) lived in France for 2 years. I know a family moving to the Marseille area (still not sure where but he will be working in Istres so will be looking for a home around there). I was wondering if you know of an American Club or something of the sort to help them adapt (they don't speak French yet and having these connections really helps, I speak from experience!)?

Answer: My friend has not gotten back to me yet. In the mean time I found some maybe American clubs through the French Yellow Pages(http://wfc.pagesjaunes.fr/pj.cgi?). I did a search in the BOUCHES DU RHONE department using the word “American” and I found the following names,

Anglo-American Group Of Provence résid Fontaines 6 r Gustave Desplaces 13100 AIX EN PROVENCE 04 42 26 91 84

Américan Association Of Marseille 3 av Parc Borely 13008 MARSEILLE 04 91 77 00 15

Pharmacie British et American 7 r République 13002 MARSEILLE 04 91 90 32 27

American Center 27 r Aldebert 13006 MARSEILLE 04 91 81 79 78

British American Institute 38 av Victor Hugo AIX EN PROVENCE 04 42 27 24 23

I Hope I was able to help, Jeff.
