MorganScott Ballet/Choreographic Symposium ParisEdward Morgan Artistic Director Choreographer of The MorganScott Ballet from New York City, will be conducting a Choreographic Symposium at The Studio of Light in Paris France on June 2nd 2010. For those of you who are still emailing us and did not get to sign up, it is now full. But if you would like to catch Mr. Morgan there will be an open rehearsal for the revival of his 1997 company premiere performance of "Spirit Bound". This ballet will be revisited with its original founding artist Joseph Alexander. “He placed Mr. Alexander high in the air on a rope crucifix in ''Spirit Bound'', a new solo set to music by Beethoven and Liszt. The image was startling, but the most interesting aspect of the piece was the way it communicated the hesitancy, panic and eventual serenity that might be felt by a man facing great suffering” -The New York Times. If interested in coming to this rehearsal to see the evolution of the ballet and the growth of Mr. Alexander not only as a dancer, but now promoted to one of the directors. This ballet when performed in the future, will prove to be bound with spirit. And yes, for those of you who have been asking, there will be ballet classes before Mr. Alexander's rehearsals. If you would like to attend the rehearsals or the ballet classes, please email info@morganscottballet.org or call 212 582 1941. Thank you, Abiline Morgan
