Message: I am thinking about working in Paris, but im not sure if i would be able to find a job. I am 21 years old. I go to a university, but am looking to transfer to a French University. I am trying to see if someone would be intrested in hiring me. I am looking at moving in the second week of March. Any replies or ideas on this subject would be much appreciated.

Message No, as I said, you can only work part-time as a student, so your best bet would be to ask your company if you could transfer.

Message I am aware that i need a work visa, and i had considered just going as a student. I also work for a international freight forwarding company that has a office in one of the paris airports. I am going to either go throught the company i currently work for or look for another one. The only reason that i wouldnt want to go as a student is that i would rather work full time and i dont think you can do that. please let me know if i am incorrect. thanks for your input

Message First of all, what country are you from? Because if you're from outside the EU, you won't be able to just move here like that and start looking for a job. You will need a visa, and it's not easy to get a work visa without being sponsored by a French company.

You might be better off coming here as a student - that way, you will be allowed to work part-time, and you can check out the job market and work on your French.

Message Mitch,

Paris would be a great place to work. Best of luck. Be sure to re-read what you write checking for misspellings and typos.

Cheers,

Ray
