French Highway System (Autoroute)Rest Stop and Service Station

This rest area - Aire de Mâcon La Salle - aka Porte de Bourgogne on the A6 Autoroute has all the services you would expect: restaurants, gas stations and hotels. The hotels are All Seasons direction south and P'tit-dej Hotel direction north.

There are three restaurants; Quick - McDonald's style fast food, l'arche and Le Boeuf Jardinier, cafeteria style restaurants. There's also a l'arche café if you're looking for coffee. There is a bridge that links each side of the rest area. This is where you'll find the restaurants.

Depending on the direction you're going, this rest area on the A6 Autoroute is either the first or last in Southern Burgundy. You can buy local products and souvenirs. WiFi is advertised but the signal seems to be iffy.

You don't need to be on the A6 to access this rest stop. You'll see signs for the Quick and All Seasons on the N6. If you are looking to eat follow the Quick signs. When coming from the N6, you will park outside the rest area and walk though a gate - direction north side or park in the All Seasons parking lot - direction south side.

If you're looking to save money it's best not to fill-up on the Autoroute but at a gas station in a shopping center.
