Daily LifeSoho Solo Project

The Gers Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Gers European Business and Innovation Centre (CEEI Gers Gascogne) have developed the Soho Solo project.

The main objectives of the project are to facilitate the integration of new individual entrepreneurs (free support services by experts), classify what is available in rural areas in terms of services and accommodation (thanks to "partner villages"). The name "SOHO" (Small Office Home Office) is given to a home in which professional activities are carried out. By extension, the French have adopted the term “SOLO” to refer to a professional who works, partially or fully, from home.

The Gers created an Intranet for the "Club Soho Solo" members. Soho Solo workers in the Gers earn their living in a wide variety of spheres. Whether it’s marketing and communications, design, consultancy, language services or journalism, they use modern computer technology to keep in touch with their clients.

The Soho Solo network provides access to support services, expert advice, use of a resource center, inclusion in an online directory, a helpdesk, and regular business and social events—and it’s all FREE.
