PoliticsPrud'Hommes Election 2002

On December 11, 2002 a Prud'Hommes (Labor Judges) election was held in France. Prud'Hommes settle labor disputes between employees and employers. Both employees and employers are able to vote for a set of judges that will represent them in local labor courts. The Prud'Hommes are elected for 5-year terms.

In France people vote as follows, each voter will take the ballots, paces of paper with the name of individual candidates, or lists of candidates. Then the voter will go into the voting booth select the candidate or list of candidates they would like to vote for and put the ballet into an envelope. The voter then takes their envelope to the voting desk where the voter presents their voter card and identification and then the voter will put their envelope into the voting box (the person at the voting box will say 'a voté') and the voter signs the voter registry, they have voted.

Below are the ballots I received along with documentation on the candidates, in my case union members, as I am an employee I will be represented by judges associated with unions.
