Here is the French public school vacation calendar for the 2017/2018 school year. School vacation calendar for private schools may vary.

The school year runs from September 1st to July 7th. Teachers start on September 1st, students September 4th.

French school holiday schedule (K - 12) for the 2017/2018 school year:

Holiday Zone A Zone B Zone C
Toussaint (All Saints Day) October 21st to November 5th October 21st to November 5th October 21st to November 5th
Noël (Christmas) December 23rd to January 8th December 23rd to January 8th December 23rd to January 8th
Hiver (Winter) February 10th to February 25th February 24th to March 11th February 17th to March 4th

French School Zones:

Zone A includes - Besançon, Bordeaux, Clermont-Ferrand, Dijon, Grenoble, Limoges, Lyon and Poitiers.

Zone B includes - Aix-Marseille, Amiens, Caen, Lille, Nancy-Metz, Nantes, Nice, Orléans-Tours, Reims, Rennes, Rouen and Strasbourg.

Zone C includes - Créteil, Montpellier, Paris, Toulouse and Versailles.
