French School Holidays2015/2016

Here is the French public school vacation calendar for the 2015/2016 school year. Note that school zones have changed for 2015/16. Some 2016 calenders were published before the change and have the old zones!

The school year runs from September 1st to July 5th. Most students start on Monday August 31th.

French school holiday schedule (K - 12) for the 2015/2016 school year:

Holiday Zone A Zone B Zone C
Toussaint (All Saints Day) October 17th to November 1st October 17th to November 1st October 17th to November 1st
Noël (Christmas) December 19th to January 3rd December 19th to January 3rd December 19th to January 3rd
Hiver (Winter) February 13th to February 28th February 6th to February 21st February 20th to March 6th
Printemps (Easter) April 16th to May 1st April 9th to April 24th April 23rd to May 9th
Été (Summer) July 5th to August 31st July 5th to August 31st July 5th to August 31st

French School Zones (New for 2015/16!):

Zone A includes - Besançon, Bordeaux, Clermont-Ferrand, Dijon, Grenoble, Limoges, Lyon and Poitiers.

Zone B includes - Aix-Marseille, Amiens, Caen, Lille, Nancy-Metz, Nantes, Nice, Orléans-Tours, Reims, Rennes, Rouen and Strasbourg.

Zone C includes - Créteil, Montpellier, Paris, Toulouse and Versailles.
