PoliticsPresidential Election 2017

The first round of the 2017 French Presidential Election is April 23rd. To be in the first round of balloting candidates must have the signatures of at least 500 elected representatives, there are about 47,000 in France. The top two vote finishers in the first round will go on to the second on May 7th. The candidate with the most votes in the second round is elected president for a term of five years.
