Pérouges FrancePorte d'en Bas
This is the Porte d'en Bas, one of the gates into the medieval village. The Porte d'en Bas was almost destroyed in a siege in 1468. Pérouges was the only village in the region not to fall to the King of France that year. An inscription above the gate notes this fact.
