Chamonix Valley Photographic WalksMontroc

Here are some photos from a photographic walk with Teresa Kaufman (red jacket) in the hamlet of Montroc in the Chamonix Valley. This walk took about 2 hours. Teresa took us to some particularly photogenic inspiring areas that offered wonderful views of Montroc and great places to take photos. Teresa also has a wealth of information regarding local architecture, so a lot was learned on the different types of buildings in Montroc. Including what a Mazot is and the type of wood they are built with.
For more information on this and other walks you can contact Teresa at +33 (0)6 08 95 89 42 (cell phone) or .

A ‘street’ in Montroc.

Two chalets and a Mazot (bottom).

This Mazot looks to have been rebuilt. You can tell by the different color of the word.

On one of the local walking trails.

Hay harvest.
