These are two views of the Mont Blanc as seen from the Aiguille du Midi. The Aiguille du Midi is just next to the Mont Blanc and is reached via Téléphérique de l'Aiguille du Midi - cable car. The viewin station these photos were taken from is 3,842 meters - 12,605 feet high.
As the second photo will attest, the viewing station is very popular and includes a resturant.
