Travel AppsSutro Media It's probably a name you haven't heard yet but one you'll want to remember if you travel with a smart phone or tablet. Sutro publishes 'real-world guides' written by authors who know their stuff and "offer the genuine recommendations of trustworthy individuals, not repackaged content from wikiTravel" as Sutro co-founder Tobin Fisher puts it. Sutro publishes over 325 (and counting) travel apps. Their apps offer a melting-pot of locations, from the deep south in the USA, to Paris France, to China to, you name it. Sutro guides cover five continents and even Antarctica! Be it on or off the beaten path Sutro covers it, or is about to! If you would like to see what Sutro has to offer check out their web site. If you have an iPhone/iPad/iPod touch you can download Sutro World, a sampling of all Sutro apps under one roof. Sutro World gives you a chance to kick the tiers and see what Sutro is all about and best of all it's free. Guides cost just a few dollars and have all the bells and whistles that modern technology can offer. Including maps that can help you pin point each location in an app. You can also leave comments to interact with the author and other users. Guides are in short much more than what you would find in a travel guide book. You'll never find a travel guide book with 1,00s or 1,000s of photos but with Sutro you will. For Apple users each Sutro app is formatted for iPhone and iPad. Most guides also have an Android version. Follow @jeffsteiner |
